Let’s Get Ready to Resource Rumble!

Picture this: you’re shipwrecked in the middle of the ocean, and you and your teammates must race against the clock while outwitting, outplaying, and outlasting rival student tribes in hopes to build a signal tower that can send a distress signal and secure your safety. Which squad will earn immunity? In the immortal words of our favorite CBS television show host: “We know this activity is one worth playing for! So we’ll give you a minute to strategize, then we’ll pick teams and let’s get it on!”

The Resource Rumble is one of our ALL TIME FAVORITE review activities! It blends team-based learning with non-stop student-centered review, while adding an element of team against team mayhem and a splash of strategy. Super low prep and ready to play at any point in your instructional calendar, all you’ll need is a stack of building blocks (we recommend Kapla blocks or Jenga blocks!) and the step-by-step lesson materials we’ve included for all of our EMC² Engagement Engineers to remix in any way that you’d like. No joke: we loved this activity so much we whipped up close to a dozen different themed twists on the core gameplay so it can quickly find a great home in classrooms of all ages. So whether you’re looking to go Medieval on this challenge, dying to slay some Monsters, blasting your classroom into Outer Space, or to power up a training academy full of aspiring Super Heroes… it’s all here, and all just waiting for your classes to enjoy.

Even better news: each of these action-packed templates are fully illustrated and can be modified for any course or content area. And all you’ll need to do is WRITE 8 VERY BASIC REVIEW QUESTIONS FOR CURRENT UNIT OF STUDY. Literally no joke. EIGHT QUESTIONS. It’s that simple! We’ll walk you through the whole shebang from setup to game time with step-by-step instructional videos and a  detailed teacher guidebook that are guaranteed to level up your love of game-inspired lesson design.

We hope you’ll consider joining us as a member of our EMC² Engagement Engineer community to access this resource and countless othersGive a click to this link for details and we’ll see you inside!
